The traditional Usui Reiki system is a fantastic tool for anyone interested in increasing their well-being and starting a meditation practice. Shoden - Level 1 - is a simple and beautiful initiation into this caring art of self-guidance.

The practice of Reiki has supported me through challenging times and drastic life changes and continues to do so every single day. I am grateful to be able to share it with curious minds looking to connect with their life force energy.

What is Reiki?

Reiki (or Usui Reiki Ryoho) is a practice that fosters profound internal stability, peace, and stillness. Originating from Japan, it has been passed down through generations and has been practiced for the last 100 years. It is used to reduce stress, promote relaxation and self-healing, and restore the health of our body, mind, and spirit. It is based on meditation, mindfulness, present touch, and compassion. What will you learn?

In this course, you will learn the traditional art of "energy healing" that has been practiced for centuries. We will cover the fundamentals of Reiki, including its history, its principles, and techniques.

I will also share my knowledge of the human body and nervous system, as well as different traditional and modern practices to ground oneself through meditation and breathwork.

The goal of the Level 1 Course is to develop a personal Reiki meditation practice to find more balance and awareness each day.

What is a Reiki attunement?

Attunements are a part of the Usui Reiki system, but they can be confusing to understand as they are presented in many different ways. As a teacher and practitioner, I cannot "open," "upgrade," or do anything to you or your energy. Reiki is the universal energy that is already present in all of us. The attunement is simply a beautiful connection ritual, fostering stillness, neutrality, and oneness between teacher and student. It brings you closer to the practice of Reiki by helping you witness peace within yourself. And it can indeed be a unique moment to experience :)

Why Reiki?

The most beautiful thing about Reiki, in my opinion, is that it empowers you on your own healing journey. It’s not magic, it takes effort and patience, like anything else. But you don’t need any prior knowledge. Just be open and curious, and allow Reiki to be your guide.

During the Level 1 course, you will learn about:

  • the history of Usui Reiki Ryoho
    (traditional and Western practices)

  • the precepts of Reiki

  • the ki & Japanese energy centers

  • the Chakra and meridian systems

  • our autonomous nervous system and relaxation response

  • traditional meditations and breathwork practices

  • the different hand positions used for applying Reiki to yourself

    you will receive:

  • an attunement

  • a course manual

  • a Level 1 certificate

Participation:

220€ = regular fee, for those with regular, stable-income
190€ = reduced fee, low-income bracket
250€ = support fee, for those with more resources to support low-fee participants

*The course price includes a manual, which contains all the information covered in the training, and a Level 1 certificate. As your Reiki teacher, I will continue to be available in the future for support and guidance.

Although not required, I recommend that you receive at least one Reiki treatment before joining the course.

Practical information:

  • Small group sizes (4-6 participants)

I ask for a 50% deposit to secure your place for the course. The remainder can be paid at the end of the weekend. The course is VAT exempt / Umsatzsteuerbefreiung nach §4 Nr. 22 UStG.

FAQ

  • There is no need to have any experience with Reiki, meditation, or spirituality. You will learn everything you need to know during the course and you will experience receiving and giving Reiki on the last day. I always recommend to have one treatment before joining the course, but it is not mandatory at all.

  • Yes, just get in touch with me and we can arrange a private Reiki Level 1 Course. It will last over a day of approx. 8 hours and we can do it in person in Berlin or online. The price for a private training is 450€.

  • For online courses, the students will receive their Manuals and certificates via email. The content of the course can be shared very well online. Energy is not confined to time or space, so Reiki can be sent anywhere, also at distance. Each student with receive a distance attunement. For training to give Reiki to somebody else, you will need to have someone available for 45 min in the last day of training. I actually did my Level One via Zoom and loved the experience :)
